In 1861, Victor Emmanuel II, reigned as king of Italy, a regent successful in both war and peace. His master Fireworker was named Capobianco. Whenever Capobianco produced fireworks displays a young man would search the grounds afterward, looking for unconsumed bits of fireworks, which he examined and reassembled. Eventually, he was able to present Capobianco with a small display using fireworks he built himself.
Capobianco was impressed and took the young man, named Augustine Santore, as an apprentice. Once he moved to New Jersey in 1890, Augustine opened his first fireworks plant. His three sons, Nunzio, Charles, and Ralph continued the business until 1973, when Nunzio passed away, and his two sons, August and Nunzio Jr. took over.

Currently August and Nunzio Jr, handle day-to-day production at the company, and are hoping their children continue in the family business. They seek to keep the family-owned-and-operated business within the family, and continue the legacy of maintaining firework expertise, absolute determination to manufacture the highest quality products, and provide professional service to all their clients.
